Dear ALAKEF staff,
My wife and I would like to thank Jim and everyone at Alakef Coffee Roasters for the time and consideration shown on our recent visit. This is a new adventure for us and it is people like you that are helping to ease the nervousness that comes naturally with any new venture. This has been a learning experience and the learning has just begun.
Since my wife and I are new to the business and ownership roles, we feel that association with positive and knowledgeable people is a must. There are many companies that have products, but it is the people that you have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. Our experiences with Dan Tomasseti and now the rest of your staff have been nothing but first class.
As far as the product goes...not being coffee drinkers until 6 months ago, I personally could not have told the difference between good and bad coffee. Now, after several months of tasting many different brands, in many different locations from gas stations to corporate coffee houses, I can now say that your product is excellent. I believe that this is because you take pride in what you do and everyone that works at Alakef believes in the product.
We look forward to working with you on our opening of Bruno's Coffee in Zimmerman. We will keep you up to date on the progress of the building and will probably call with a question from time to time.

"Other roasters have sent sales people and samples. But I don't bother with them. Some have tried to tell us their beans are less expensive. Some tell us their beans are the best. I just smile at them, because I know they are wrong. When I tell them we get our beans from Alakef, they stop talking.
Not only is Alakef's bean quality the best, so is their customer service. The phone never rings one full ring before a friendly voice answers, always ready to help in any situation. Whether it's training, help with any question, advice, or just taking an order, I always feel like i'm the most important customer they have.
In reality though, my opinion doesn't really matter. It's my customers opinion that does. All of my customers tell me consistently everyday how great our coffee tastes. When they ask me why our coffee tastes better than everyone else's, I tell them it's all about the beans!"

I just wanted to send a quick note to say thanks for making such delicious coffee and for throwing in a complimentary bag of the Highlander Grogg and a couple window clings with my order. Thus far I have only tried the Sumatra Mandheling, but it is wonderful; I hope the others are as good! I have attached a photo of me promoting your product, I hope you like it. Rest assured, when I pull pitch (that's "take-off" in helicopter speak) on those early morning flights, there is a large cup of Alakef on board.

Alakef in Antarctica
Hello from McMurdo Station Antarctica,
Alakef French Roast is our standard Duluth coffee bean. Your online store seems to only sell it in 12 oz bags. Looks like we'll be stuck here until August, so we're wondering if we can order a few 3lb bags shipped to an APO address?
