Sustainability
At Alakef, we know every little thing can make a difference. We continually try to take steps toward sustainability.
Recently, we have been working on ways to reduce our paper use.
Our newsletters will now be online or emailed. This can save over 1,000 sheets of paper.
We encourage customers to receive invoices via email and have changed any printed invoices to a more efficient one sheet format. This can reduce our paper use by 28 reams per year.
When packing our orders, we’ve eliminated envelopes and gone to pouches. This saves approximately 10,000 pieces of paper from the back of packing envelopes that would otherwise go into the waste stream.

Hello and Thanks from Iraq:
I just wanted to send a quick note to say thanks for making such delicious coffee and for throwing in a complimentary bag of the Highlander Grogg and a couple window clings with my order. Thus far I have only tried the Sumatra Mandheling, but it is wonderful; I hope the others are as good! I have attached a photo of me promoting your product, I hope you like it. Rest assured, when I pull pitch (that's "take-off" in helicopter speak) on those early morning flights, there is a large cup of Alakef on board.

Alakef in Antarctica
Hello from McMurdo Station Antarctica,
Alakef French Roast is our standard Duluth coffee bean. Your online store seems to only sell it in 12 oz bags. Looks like we'll be stuck here until August, so we're wondering if we can order a few 3lb bags shipped to an APO address?
Would love to hear from you...
Thanks,
Andy
